Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Law Office of Dan Wimmer handles and protects the personal information you provide to us, as well as any other data we collect directly or indirectly as a result of working on your behalf for the legal purposes that we have been engaged to pursue. At the forefront of our policy is our commitment to protect your private information to the best of our abilities. Because all types of policy changes occur in the world of commerce, you should periodically check this page for any changes. This policy is effective April 1, 2025.

Information We Collect

When you visit or access our website or any related website resources, including embedded traffic data, weblogs, Publications, and all communication data, as well as any data source, information is automatically collected. We use the information for various purposes to serve your legal affairs and needs, but never to sell or disclose any information to any government or third party to the extent we can control such dissemination.

This information is collected through cookies, server logs, third-party tracking systems, normal and general business communication activities, exchanges, or devices, and other enhanced technologies embedded within the systems, products, or services provided to us by vendors without our ability to dislodge or disengage such information-collecting systems, devices, or activities. This information and the collection methodologies are beyond our control and occur automatically due to the design or service features of a vendor or manufacturer’s product.

Use of Cookies

On occasion, our systems may collect information from your computer for our use in providing improved future services. To achieve this effort, we use cookies, but not to identify you personally; instead, this information is collected and used for statistical purposes regarding users and visitors to our website. Statistical data, as a general rule, does not identify personal data.

Cookies are small files that ask permission to be placed on your hard drive. You can decline or agree to allow it. Once you agree, the cookie file is added and helps analyze web traffic. In recent years, all computers have been built to accept or decline cookies automatically. We believe the technology world has not changed this open form of acknowledgement. Still, we have no way to monitor, verify, or control what products or services merchandisers put into their products. Accordingly, by executing an attorney-client fee agreement, it is understood that you are waiving any liability to sue us or make us a party to any lawsuit because of how the information collected, stolen, or acquired by way of a security breach was used for any improper purpose or way.

Accordingly, by signing our fee agreement, you are authorizing our firm to use the data that you provide or permit our systems to collect for all lawful purposes that are directly or indirectly related to the purpose of our relationship, including exchanging information with all necessary third-party’s and their related entities, including the Social Security Administration and all administrative appeal levels and associated departments as necessary or required when bringing a cause of action in any court on your behalf.

Storing Your Personal Data

The personal data we receive is stored on our servers. These products were manufactured by reputable companies such as Dell Computers, and the software purchased was developed by Microsoft. However, the sending or transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Moreover, modern hackers have been known to breach all types of security protection measures and devices, including security devices used by large businesses and state and federal governments. Regrettably, we have no control over such breaches and, therefore, disclaim any and all liability to our clients in the event of such an occurrence.
